Location Characteristics: Phoenix and its surrounding towns are absolutely beautiful. The weather is hot in the summers, but no one can beat the winter. "Valley of The Sun" is very large, encompassing many towns and wrap up a very large geographical area. Most schools are very good; access to freeways and shopping is very reliable. You would love to live here, if you are aware of the area. Homes, though not all, but most are basically single-level Ranch Style, and many have been upgraded and expanded considerably. Phoenix is a very livable place to live in.

DECEMBER 2006: Real Estate market in Phoenix is growing considerably, especially when compared to the last few years. At the end of the fall, there are currently 38,805 single family residences (SFRs) purchasable on the MLS, with an additional 6,445 that are under contract, for a total of 45,250 SFRs. These numbers don't take into consideration the 5,809 Condos and Town Houses that are available or the additional 1,322 of them that are under contract.

Economy : It is the hub of agricultural region, an important center of research and development, electronics, telecommunications, semi-conductors and the aerospace industry. Food processing and the production of aircrafts, machinery tools, plastics, wood products, leather goods etc.

Phoenix is a new city founded in 1864, incorporated in 1881 by historical standards and the population is considerably increasing. It now ranks as one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. It is currently the 6th largest city in the U.S. Visitors, residents and businesses will observes that Phoenix offers just about everything in the way of sports, recreation, arts, culture, dining, lodging and financial opportunities. Phoenix is one of the fastest-growing job and housing markets in the nation. Relatively low cost of living have made much of the growth. Phoenix has an overall cost of living index of 96.8, or just slightly below the U.S. average.

Current report dated December 10' 06 says there are plenty of houses available for sale. Market is full of foreclosures too, investors can also try for their better luck.
