Wisconsin is a state in the United States and is situated in the Great Lakes region. The capital of the Wisconsin state is Madison, and its current governor is Jim Doyle.

The Wisconsin area, surrounded by the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan and Illinois, as well as Lakes Michigan and Superior, has been part of United States constitution since the end of the American Revolution. It was incorporated to the Union on May 29, 1848 as the thirtieth state. First explored by the French, the region was ceded to Great Britain in 1763 and became part of the Northwest Territory in 1787. Madison is the capital and Milwaukee is the largest city. The Estimated Population: 5,530,000.

MILWAUKEE: Real Estate: Currently the metropolitan rental market is soft due in major part to low mortgage interest rates, that have encouraged many renters to buy single family homes and condominiums. Local sources estimate the overall rental vacancy rate close to 9%. Rents have been flat and concessions have become more common. To attract tenants recently built high-end projects are providing one or more months' free rent; whereas older projects tend to have more modest incentives.
